Robert Gatward Jewellers was established in 1970 with the opening of our store in Thame, Oxfordshire. In 1999 the store was taken in a new direction, completely refurbishing the unit and bringing in many exciting new stock ranges.

Soon we were ready for a new challenge, and in May 2000 opened a second store in Abingdon, again in Oxfordshire. The next few years were spent working on the feedback from staff and customers as to what people want from a jeweller (feedback is still gratefully received today), helping us to create the perfect environment for you to make that special purchase.

This dream was made complete with the opening of our third store in Reading, Berkshire, which opened its doors to the public on in December 2004 and in July 2005 won the award for Best Store at the UK Jewellery Awards.

Finally, in September 2005 Robert Gatward, Ipswich; completed a set of four beautiful stores.

But as we all know, beautiful stores do not work if they are not supported by beautiful, high quality products and a friendly and knowledgeable team. This family business has never lost site of its goal; to be able to provide every customer with the best possible choice of stock, then to provide the best personal service and to be able to do all this in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.
